Mark Hughes signs new one year contract

Barnet's Northern Ireland international midfield player, Mark Hughes has signed a new one year contract. Hughes joined Barnet from Chester City in February 2009. He had previously had a trial at Barnet but had joined Chester instead in the summer of 2007. He scored 4 goals in 69 league appearances for Chester. He began his career at Tottenham but never broke into the first team, though while at White Hart Lane, he had loan spells at Northampton and Oldham and he joined the Latics in 2005. He made 60 league appearances for them scoring 1 goal before he was released in 2006. He had short spells at Thurrock, Chesterfield and Stevenage before joining Chester. He has made 9 starts plus one appearance as a substitute since moving to Underhill.
