Midfield Players:
Mark Byrne signed for Barnet in 2011 after being released by Nottingham Forest. He had two spells on loan with the Bees in 2010/11 helping the club to maintain their League Two status and was a regular member of the side that escaped relegation on the last day again in 2011/12, scoring one of the goals in the 2-1 win at Burton that secured the club’s safety. In 2009/10 he had a loan spell with Rushden & Diamonds, while with Forest and was voted their player of the year.

Luke Gambin is another product of the youth system at Barnet and signed professional forms last summer. Gambin made his first team debut in April 2012, coming on as a substitute in the home game with AFC Wimbledon. Gambin has made a notable impact during the last season and has been the subject of interest from other clubs. He had a spell on loan at Hendon last season.

Ahmed Abdullah is a 21 year old defensive midfield player. Abdulla, who is Saudi Arabian, was another of Mark Robson’s new signings with a West Ham connection having played at Upton Park as a youth player, after beginning his career at Arsenal. He had a loan spell with Swindon Town , making 7 first team appearances and later went on loan to Dagenham & Redbridge. On his return to West Ham he was released and then returned to the Daggers on a short term contract. In all, Ahmed made 7 first team appearances for Dagenham. Abdullah made his Barnet debut in the Carling Cup game at Birmingham City.

Andy Yiadom joined Barnet from Blue Square Premier club, Braintree last season after scoring 8 goals this season for the Essex club. Yiadom has also played for Hayes & Yeading. He made his Bees’ debut as a substitute at home to Shrewsbury Town and scored his first goal, the winner at Port Vale. Yiadom played at right back at the back end of last season.

Freddie Warren joined Barnet in July 2012 after he was released at the end of the season by Charlton Athletic, another club with connections with Mark Robson. Warren didn’t manage to break into the first team at the Valley and was sent out on loan to Kettering Town and Hayes & Yeading. The 19 year old midfield player was also sent on work experience to Ryman League club, Concord Rangers. Warren made his Barnet debut in the Carling Cup game at Birmingham City.

Curtis Weston joined Barnet in August 2012 from Gillingham. Weston, a wide based midfield player, began his career at Millwall, but only made a handful of first team appearances there before moving to Swindon Town in 2006. A year alter he joined Leeds United but failed to make an impact and had a loan spell at Scunthorpe United before joining Gillingham in 2008. He helped the Gills to promotion in 2009 and scored 19 goals in over 165 first team appearances for the Kent side. Weston made his Barnet debut as a substitute in the Carling Cup game at Birmingham City.
