Sam Cowler became Mark Robson's first signing in June 2012 when he joined from West Ham. Cowler was on loan last season at Barnet and played in the Bees' successful youth side.
Defenders:
Jordan Brown joined Barnet from West Ham United in June 2012. The young full back signed professional forms with the East London club in 2010 but has not managed to make the first team, except in pre-season friendlies.
Last season, Jordan had two loan spells with League two clubs, making 4 first team appearances for Aldershot and 7 for Crewe Alexandra.
Elliott Johnson signed professional forms for the club this summer. He has been on the bench for the club but has not played for the club in a competitive first team match.
Clovis Kamdjo joined the club in 2009 from Reading where he was the youth team captain. He was signed after impressing in pre-season matches whilst on trial. Barnet took up the option of extending his contract by another year after the end of the season.

Jonathan Fortune signed for after imjuly 2012barnet in pressing in pre-season games. Fortune began his career at Charlton and early on on his days at the Valley, he had two loan spells with Mansfield Town, then a league club.
In 2001/02, Fortune made his Charlton first team debut and quickly established himself as a first team regular, playing in the Premier League. His goal for Charlton against local rivals, Crystal Palace at the end of 2004/05 sent the Eagles down.
In 2006/07, Fortune had a couple of loan spells with Stoke City and during the summer, Stoke made an attempt to sign him on a permanent contract, but he remained with Charlton, playing under former Bee, Alan Pardew. In all, fortune made over 150 first team appearances for Charlton, scoring 6 goals before moving to Sheffield United in July 2009 on a short term contract.
However, Fortune never really broke into the side at Sheffield United and made only 5 first team appearances for the Blades before re-signing for Charlton in 2010. Fortune made a further 15 first team appearances at Charlton before moving to Exeter City in March of this year and he made 5 first team appearances for the Grecians before being released at the end of last season.
Jack Saville joined Barnet loan fromSouthamptonat the end of 2011. He later signed a contract until the end of the season with the Bees. He made his Bees debut as a substitute in the 1st round FA Cup win at Southport.

Midfield
Mark Byrne signed for Barnet last summer after being released by Nottingham Forest. He had two spells on loan with the Bees last season helping the club to maintain their League Two status. In 2009/10 he had a loan spell with Rushden & Diamonds and was voted their player of the year.

Andy Yiadom joined Barnet from Blue Square Premier club, Braintree earlier this year after scoring 8 goals this season for theEssexclub. Yiadom has also played for Hayes & Yeading. He made his Bees’ debut as a substitute at home to Shrewsbury Town and scored the winning goal at Port Vale.

Oliver Lee joined Barnet in July 2012 from West Ham United. Lee, who is the son of former Newcastle and England midfield player, Rob Lee, failed to make the first team at Upton Park and has been loaned out during the last two seasons. In 2010/11, Lee went on loan to Dagenham & Redbridge, then a League One side and made his debut, in April, at Exeter City. His loan was extended to the end of the season and he made 5 appearances in all.
Last season, he returned to Dagenham on loan and made 16 appearances, scoring 3 goals between August and October. In February, Lee was loaned out to Gillingham, making his debut at home to Rotherham and made 8 appearances for the Kent club before returning to the Hammers. His contract was not renewed in the summer.
Freddie Warren joined Barnet in July 2012 after he was released at the end of the season by Charlton Athletic, another club with connections with Mark Robson. Warren didn’t manage to break into the first team at the Valley and was sent out on loan last season to Kettering Town and Hayes & Yeading. The 19 year old midfield player was also sent on work experience to Ryman League club, Concord Rangers.
Ahmed Abdulla, 20 year old defensive midfield player. Abdulla, who is Saudi Arabian, is another of Robson’s new signings with a West Ham connection having played at Upton Park as a youth player, after beginning his career at Arsenal. He had a loan spell with Swindon Town last season, making 7 first team appearances and later went on loan to Dagenham & Redbridge. On his return to West Ham he was released and then returned to the Daggers on a short term contract. In all, Ahmed made 7 first team appearances for Dagenham last season.
Anthony Edgar signed for Barnet in July 2012, following impressive performances in pre season matches. Edgar began his career at West Ham United making tow substitute appearances for the Hammers in FA Cup matches. In 2009, he had a brief loan spell at Bournemouth making four first team appearances for the Cherries and moved to Yeovil Town last season where he scored 1 goal from 12 first team appearances.
Strikers:
Jake Hyde re-signed for Barnet in July 2012. Hyde first arrived in the summer of 2009 and was signed by Ian Hendon from Swindon Town. Hyde made his Bees’ debut as a substitute in the opening game at Lincoln City.
Hyde made his first start for Barnet a couple of weeks later and scored twice on his full debut in the 2-2 home draw with Shrewsbury Town. A couple of games later, Hyde, after coming on as a substitute, scored a last minute winner at home to highly fancied, Notts County and s few days later scored in the 2-0 win over Millwall in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.
However, despite Hyde’s good early goal scoring record, he failed to hold down a regular first team place, mainly coming off the bench as he did when he scored at Rochdale. After scoring 4 goals in just four starts for the Bees, he only scored two more goals after that, his last goal being a fine header in the 3-1 home win over Chesterfield at Easter
Hyde made 39 first team appearances for the Bees, scoring 6 goals but 20 of those appearances were as a substitute. However, Hyde was voted Barnet Young Player of the Year for 2009/10, but despite this, Hyde was released at the end of the season, a surprise to many fans.
Hyde then went to play in Scottish Junior Football with a club called Lochee United and while with them played as an amateur for SPL1 club, Dundee, scoring 3 goals in two games. However, Dundee couldn’t sign him due to a transfer embargo and so he joined another SPL1 club, Dunfermline.
Last summer, he re-joined Dundee and scored 6 goals in 30 games before returning to Barnet and signing for the Bees after impressing in pre season friendlies.
Hyde began his career at Swindon but failed to make the first team and had two loan spells at Weymouth in 2008 and 2009.

Jon Nurse signed for Barnet in July 2012. Nurse was released by Dagenham & Redbridge at the end of last season having scored 32 goals in over 200 first team appearances for the Dagge;rs since joining them in 2007 from Stevenage Borough. Nurse scored Dagenham’s winning goal in the 2009/10 League Two play off final at Wembley against Rotherham United sending the Daggers to League One for the first time in their history.
Nurse began his football career in Sunday League football before signing for Sutton United in 2003 and scored 19 goals in 28 league appearances for Sutton before being signed up by Graham Westley’s Stevenage Borough.
At Stevenage, Nurse was hit by injuries and in his first season was loaned out to Lewes but came back to the club and won his first team place back in time to help Stevenage reach the Conference play-offs in 2005; when Barnet were champions.
The following season, Nurse finished the season with 9 goals and was runner up in the club’s player of the season award. In 2006/07, Nurse was hit by injuries once more and was in and out of the side but again finished with nine goals and had a spell on loan at Woking scoring twice in eight games and making quite an impact there. In all, Nurse scored 18 goals in just under 100 first team appearances for Stevenage.
Nurse, who can play either on the wing or as a striker, has made two international appearances for Barbados. His first game was against Dominica in a 2008 world Cup qualifying match. His second and last performance was in the return match in the same year.
Mauro Vilhete is another product of the Hive. Vilhete turned down the chance of joining Aston Villa to sign for the Bees. He became the youngest ever player to play League football for Barnet when he made his debut as a substitute at Grimsby Town in 2010 at the age of 16. He made his full debut a week later at home to Rochdale in the last match of the season.

Ricky Holmes joined Barnet fromBlue Square Southclub,Chelmsfordin 2010. Holmes began his career at Southend United before being released by the club at the age of 16. He scored 21 goals from 55 appearances in 2009/10 and has played under Paul Fairclough at England C level. He has twice been named as player of the year at Chelmsford and has been linked with a number of clubs including Peterborough United. Holmes was new manager, Mark Stimson’s first signing for Barnet.

Steve Kabba joined Barnet from Brentford on a free transfer in 2010. He began his career atCrystalPalaceand made ten league appearances for the Eagles and had spells on loan at Southend, Luton and Grimsby while at Selhurst Park. He had a very impressive spell at Grimsby, scoring 6 goals in 13 league matches. In 2002, he moved to Sheffield United for £250,000 and scored 18 goals in 78 league appearances for the Blades before moving to Watford in 2007 for £500,000. He never really established himself at Vicarage Road and was sent out on loan to Blackpool and Oldham before moving to Brentford in 2009 on a free transfer. He had a spell on loan at Burton Albion scoring 6 goals in 23 league matches. Missed much of last season through injury.
