Kevin Lisbee joined Barnet from Leyton Orient this summer. Lisbee was with Ipswich Town before joining Leyton Orient in the summer of 2011. Lisbie scored 48 goals in 125 appearances for Orient.
Shaun Batt joined Barnet on a free transfer from Leyton Orient in the summer of 2015. Batt is the brother of former Bee, Damien Batt who was in the 2004/05 Conference Championship winning squad. He left Barnet in 2006.
Shaun began his career at Peterborough United and made over 50 appearances for ‘Posh’ before joining Millwall, having previously been on loan there, in 2010. However, he failed to really establish himself at the South London club and was sent out on loan to CrawleyTown and Leyton Orient, joining the East London club in the summer of 2013. Batt made 77 appearances for Orient (including the loan spell) and scored 13 goals.
Three players featured in Barnet's promotion winning season of 2014/15. Charlie MacDonald joined Barnet from Oldham last summer and was captain of the side that won the Conference title last season. Lee Cook also joined last season after playing in Cyprus. He joined Leyton Orient in 2012, making 45 appearances for the East London club and scoring five goals.
David Hunt had a loan spell last season with Barnet while at Oxford United. He played for Orient between 2003 and 2005 before moving to Northampton.
Ian Hendon is now manager of Leyton Orient. As a player, Hendon had a loan spell with Orient in 1992 while at Spurs. He joined Orient in 1993 and had four years there before joining Notts County. In 2002, he had a short loan spell at Barnet while at Sheffield Wednesday and then in the summer of 2003 he was signed for the bees by Martin Allen to become Bees captain in a brand new look Barnet side. He lead Barnet to the Nationwide Conference play-offs only to see them lose out to Shrewsbury, but the following season Barnet were promoted back to the league as Conference champions. He became assistant manager to Paul Fairclough in 2007 and succeeded him as manager at the end of 2008, initially on a caretaker basis. He was sacked in April 2010 after the club had lost a number of successive games and become involved in a relegation scrap.
Matt Lockwood joined Orient from Bristol Rovers in 1998 and in nine years with the club, made over 350 first team appearances, scoring 56 goals, an amazing number for a full back. In 2007 he joined Nottingham Forest. Lockwood had two loan spells with the Bees in the 2008/09 and 2009/10 seasons while with Colchester.
Scott McGleish had a short loan spell at Orient while with Charlton and the following year joined Orient for £50000. He was at Barnet between 1997 and 2001, having joined from Leyton Orient. He left Barnet to join Colchester. He had a loan spell with the Bees at the end of the 2011/12 season while he was at Bristol Rovers. McGleish joined Bristol Rovers from Orient, having re-joined the East London club in 2009, initially on loan.
Lee Harrison, Greg Heald and Wayne Purser moved from Barnet to Leyton Orient in a joint transfer in 2003 for a combined fee of £18000.
Harrison joined Barnet from Fulham in 1996 and was voted Barnet Player of the Year three years running from 1998-2000. Harrison helped Barnet reach the Division Three Play-offs in 1997/98 and 1999/00 before moving to Orient, initially on loan. He moved to Peterborough in 2005 before re-joining the Bees in 2006. He later became deputy to Ian Hendon, when the latter was appointed Barnet manager and left Barnet when Hendon was sacked in 2010.
Heald joined Barnet from Peterborough in 1997 for a club record fee of £130000 and was appointed club captain before joining Orient. In 2004, Heald joined Rochdale.
Purser joined Barnet in 2000 from QPR and was voted Barnet Player of the Year for season 2001/02. Purser broke his leg in a home game with Margate just before the end of the season which had a negative affect on his career at Barnet and moved, subsequently, to Orient. He moved to Hornchurch in 2004.
Other players who played for both Orient & Barnet include Josh Wright, Ademola Bankole, Dominic Naylor, Carl Hoddle, Danny Brown, Warren Hackett, Darren Currie & Manny Omoyinmi.
