THEY PLAYED FOR BOTH: Barnet & Rochdale

A number of players have played for both Rochdale and Barnet particularly in the last few years. Former Barnet skipper, Greg Heald played for Barnet from 1997-2003 following his transfer from Peterborough. He made 202 league appearances for the Bees scoring 20 goals before joining Leyton Orient. He joined Rochdale in 2004 and played 39 times in the league, scoring 3 goals for Rochdale.

 

 

Warren Goodhind was a product of Barnet's youth system and was at the club for 6 years before joining Cambridge United in 2001 after making 100 league appearances and scoring 3 goals for the Bees. He joined Rochdale in 2005 but only made 10 league appearances for them before leaving in 2007.

 

 

John Doolan was at Barnet for over 5 years after joining from Mansfield Town in 1998 and made 182 league appearances, scoring 12 goals, for the Bees before moving to Doncaster in 2003. He joined Rochdale in 2006 and was released in the summer of 2008 after making 83 league appearances and scoring 3 goals for Rochdale.

 

 

Mark Carter joined Barnet from Runcorn in 1991 and helped the Bees to the Conference title and promotion to the league. Two years later he was in the Barnet side that won promotion to the 2nd division, but left in 1993 to join Bury. He made 82 league appearances for the Bees, scoring 30 goals. In 1997 he joined Rochdale but only made 11 appearances for the club, scoring 2 goals. He re-joined Runcorn the following May.

 

 

Goalkeeper, Kevin Dearden had a loan spell in 1991 at Rochdale when he was at Tottenham. He played 1 match at Barnet while on loan from Brentford in 1999.
