Paolo Vernazza joined Rotherham from Watford on a free transfer in July 2004. He made 14 league starts for the Millers and another 13 appearances as a substitute. He then joined Barnet in November 2005, initially on loan before signing until the end of the 2005/06 season. He made 11 league starts and another 6 appearances as a substitute before being released at the end of the season. His most remembered moment at Barnet was probably his cross for Liam Hatch's goal in the last match of that season at Rushden & Diamonds which Barnet won 2-1 to ensure their safety from relegation. He joined Dagenham & Redbridge later that year and is now playing with Blue Square Premier club, Woking.
