THEY PLAYED FOR BOTH: Northampton

Mick Bodley joined Northampton from Chelsea in 1989 and made 20 league appearances for the Cobblers. He left to join Barnet the same year and helped the Bees to win the GM Vauxhall Conference in 1991 and win promotion to the league. He helped Barnet win promotion to Division 2 in 1993 but left soon after to join Southend.

Ian Hendon joined Northampton from Notts County in 1999 and made 60 league appearances for the Cobblers scoring 3 goals before moving to Sheffield Wednesday in 2000. He had a short spell on loan from the Owls at Barnet in 2002/03, scoring 1 goal in 4 Conference appearances and then joined Peterborough in January 2003. He joined Barnet in May 2003 and helped them, as captain, make the Conference play-offs in 2004 and then win the Conference title in 2005, winning promotion to League Two. He made 134 league appearances plus another 5 as a substitute for Barnet scoring 19 goals. He was appointed assistant manager to Paul Fairclough in 2007 and was made caretaker manager in January 2009 following Fairclough’s resignation. He was made permanent manager in April 2009 but was dismissed at the end of 2009/10. He is now assistant manager at Gillingham.

Scott McGleish joined Barnet from Leyton Orient in 1997. He helped Barnet make the 3rd Division play-offs in 1998 and 2000 and scored 37 league goals in over 100 league appearances for the Bees before moving to Colchester in 2001. He joined Northampton in 2004 and scored 42 league goals in over 100 appearances for the Cobblers helping them win promotion to League One in 2006. He joined Wycombe in 2007, but had a short loan spell at Northampton in 2008/09 being joining Leyton Orient.

Mark Hughes had a loan spell with Northampton in 2004 while at Tottenham. He joined Barnet in February 2009 from Chester and has made over 50 first team appearances so far for the Bees.

Paul Newell joined Barnet in 1994 from Leyton Orient and made 16 league appearances in goal for the Bees before joining Darlington in 1996. He had a thre month spell at Northampton in 1998.
