Simon Clist and Damien Batt were in the Oxford United side that won promotion back to League Two after being relegated to the Conference in 2006. Batt joined Barnet in September 2004 having been released by Norwich City. He made 37 league appearances for the Bees scoring 1 goal, in the 7-1 home win over Farnborough.
Clist joined Barnet from Bristol City in January 2004 and was one of Martin Allen’s last signings for the club. A midfield player for City, Paul Fairclough converted him to a left back with great success and he was a regular fixture in the club’s Conference success of 2005 becoming a great favourite with the fans. Clist made 68 league appearances for the club, scoring once, at Morecambe, before being rather surprisingly released at the end of the 2005/06 season, along with Batt.
Another member of the Barnet Conference winning side was Simon King. King began his career at Oxford United, but made just three league starts before joining Barnet in the summer of 2003. King scored the winning goal in the 3-1 win over Halifax Town that secured the Bees promotion back to the league in 2005. He made over 150 first team appearances for the Bees before moving to Gillingham in 2007 for £200,000 having been voted Barnet player of the year for 2006/07.
Guy Butters had a loan spell at Oxford in 1994/95 while at Portsmouth and also played 7 Conference matches in 2003 for Barnet while on loan from Brighton.
Warren Goodhind began his career at Underhill and played apart in Barnet reaching the Division 3 play-offs in 1998 and 2000. He was in the Barnet side that was relegated to the Conference in 2001 and early on in 2001/02 he joined Cambridge United for £80,000. In 2006 he had a short loan spell at Oxford while playing for Rochdale.
Goalkeeper, Kevin Dearden had a short loan spell with Oxford in 1989, while at Tottenham and also had a loan spell at Barnet, in 1999, while at Brentford.
Manny Omoyinmi had a short loan spell in 2000 while at West Ham and then joined Oxford United in June of that year on a permanent basis from the Hammers. He made 67 league appearances for Oxford, scoring 9 goals being joining Gravesend & Northfleet in 2004.
Craig McAllister joined Oxford from grays in January 2008 scoring 2 goals in 17 league appearances but moved to Exeter 6 months later. He had a loan spell with Barnet last season making five appearances for the Bees but failing to score. He is currently with Crawley Town.
Sam Stockley joined Barnet from Southampton in 1996 and went on to make over 200 first team appearances for the Bees and was part of the Barnet teams that made the Division 3 play-offs in 1998 and 2000. He joined Oxford United in 2001 for £150,000 but left the following year on a free transfer for Colchester United.
